The 2024 Sunrise Rotary / Stihl Shop PMQ / Port City Bowling Club Big Dig is so much fun!
Town Beach, Port Macquarie on Sunday 19th May, 2024.
The Big Dig Treasure Hunt created by the Rotary Club of Port Macquarie Sunrise to add value to our community by hosting an annual family fun day. In 2024 Project Manager, Pam Foye, is making sure it is bigger and better than ever. A great way to bring together so many young families in our local community and have kids dressing up as pirates to find their treasure in the sand!
With over 1,000 parents and children typically attending we believe the greatest compliment for the event is the number of families who have attended almost every year it has been held.
Registration commences at 9:00am with the first dig (3 & Under) commencing at 10:30am.
The Family BIG DIG will start at 12PM
There are 4 age groups from 0-10 years of age. Tickets are $8 per child and the “THE BIG DIG” at $35 per person. Participants dig for buried treasure (tokens) on the beach and exchange their token for a prize and everyone wins a prize!
But wait, there is so much more.
- Dunking Station (dunk a friend/teacher?)
- Take a selfie in the stocks
- Jumping castle
- Bungee jumping
- Silent disco
- Face painting
- Coffee cart for the mums and dads
- BBQ tent
- Cup cake tent
We also welcome mascots “Healthy Harold” from Life Education; “Ditto” from BraveHearts & “Whizzy the Water Drop” from Midcoast Water.
This fundraising event is now in its twelfth year and raises funds for our local community and international projects. Last year our beneficiaries were:
