Visit by RI President, Ian Riseley
On Monday 31st July 2017 we had the pleasure of a visit by the current Rotary International President, Ian Riseley.
Ian spent the day touring around the District taking in the sights and visiting key Rotary projects. This included a visit to our very own Tacking Point Lighthouse project where he was guided by several members and unveiled a plaque commemorating the project works alongside our wonderful member, Neil Black, and the acting Mayor of Port Macquarie Hastings Lisa Intermann.
The RI President also attended a tree planting ceremony to commemorate the extensions to Rotary Lodge. Our members Malcolm McNeil and Alec Brown have been very active members of the Lodge committee and were able to share in the moment with Ian.
To conclude the day Ian attended a dinner in his honour at Port Panthers along with over 150 Rotarians from the local Clubs, from throughout the District and even from New York!
